This will not contain everything that occurred this summer, but I will put some of them. I’ll try to hit the others in some other posts. We did VBS at church this summer again. Colby finally was old enough to actually enjoy it. Our VBS is in the evening, so last year, Colby was old enough to go, but he went 1 night, and then was done! HA! This year, he and Abriella went every night. And, Stephen and I were leaders of one of the groups, so Ridley stayed in the nursery care every night as well. We were pooped after those 4 nights, but everyone did great. Ridley was pleased that his Sunday morning teachers were the nursery caregivers, so he was in excellent hands! We also went fishing one Saturday. The kids were disappointed in learning that you don’t always actually catch fish when you go fishing. Man, reality is a bummer sometimes. And, when you’re a Joyner, catching fish is even more rare. :-/
Abriella also did a summer camp at the Cultural Activities Center. It was from 8-noon each day, Monday thru Friday. Or maybe it was 8:30 or 9. I can’t remember now. Either way, it was the morning. She loved it! They did art, crafts, story righting, pottery, and a host of other things!
