We also went to the library every week this summer. We usually go every couple of weeks during the school year anyway, but we went every week so that we could go to story time, which at the little Belton library, also includes a craft afterwards. The kids L.O.V.E the little library in Belton. They call it the library “where we can talk to the librarian.” HA! They have the kids section completely closed off by glass doors, so the kids run around and do not have to be super quiet. And, the librarian is awesome. She knows their names and interacts with them all the time. We go to the Temple library, too, but it’s the typical library where you are supposed to tiptoe and be quiet, etc. Well, kids are just not that great at that. So, the stress level increases as we go there. It is a bigger library with more selection in some areas, so we still go there occasionally, but we definitely prefer the little one.

We also visited parks a few times. Of course, around here, it gets beastly hot during the summer, so you have to choose your park visits wisely. We did find a park that was completely covered by permanent shade tarps later in the summer, and we went there a few times. It is a really nice park and the kids love it!
